Final Project Pictures
I really enjoyed this class. For this final project, I tried to take pictures of different subjects. I had a shallow depth of field for the apple, as well as the tree. I also did a leading line in the tree picture. For the bokeh effect image, I zoomed in all the way in order to get the lights out of focus. Lastly, for Imagin and Gracie, I did a shallow depth of field for both. All of these pictures have a difference between color and subject contrast.
Bokeh Effect
For this project, I learned how to apply a bokeh effect by not focusing on the background or lights that I used, but also by only focusing on the subject that I used. Trying to get a subject to be in focus but having the background blurred was difficult for me. I really liked this assignment because I recognized that focusing in on one object can be done, but also making the lights blurry and creating different shapes for them made the image better as well.
Contrast and Subject
For this project, I learned how to show differences in subject contrast and color contrast. I also learned how to apply a mask on Photoshop. I played with different ISOs, along with different shutter speeds and f stops. This helped my photos by either giving them a shallow depth of field by focusing on the subject or difference in colors.
Leading Lines
Angles
We learned how to take different angles of one project to show how you can make the same picture look different. I really liked this project that we did. I learned that you can get different contrasts between the background and/or foreground to make the picture "pop". I also learned that you can get different shallow dept of fields.
Golden Ratio and Rule of Thirds
10 pictures above are rule of thirds and 10 pictures are golden ratio.
These images above are focusing on the lighting and how the foreground and background are focused as well. I also photoshopped these photos.
Stationary Subject
The fern in these photos above are representing a stationary subject. When I changed the shutter speed from a slow shutter speed of 1/50 to a faster shutter speed of 1/250, it changed the lighting from light to dark.
Background
These 3 photos above were focusing more on the background. Within these photos, I changed the F-stop from a f/5.6 to a f/36 which made the picture have a deeper depth of field.
Middle Ground
For these images, we focused on the middle object. I adjusted the f-stop from a f/36 to an f/5.6. When I changed from the f/36 to f/16, it changed the depth of field from deep to shallow which means that the middle ground will stay in focus and the foreground/background will be blurred.
Foreground Photos
These 3 pictures above are images of foreground photos. Unfortunately, my inexperience with the camera made the pictures more blurry, which makes it difficult to see the change. However what is supposed to be happening within the pictures is that the foreground is supposed to be in focus and the middle/background should be blurry as I create a shallower depth of field as I move from an f/36 to an f/5.6.
Moving Subjects
The 6 pictures above are moving subjects. When Mary Grace did a front walkover, she was moving slower than the jumping photos. I changing the Shutter Speed, I can stop motion with a fast shutter speed of 1/250. Then I have blurred motion with a slower shutter speed of 1/40.
Below are a few pictures for our pre test. The first pictures that I took were very blurry, but after taking more, they started looking better.
